People flocked to Guildford Cathedral today (Thursday, January 31), taking with them antiques and collectables for the experts from BBC  TV’s Flog It! to value. And our photographer John Schluter was on hand to take these pictures.

Present were some of the famous faces from the popular TV show, including its presenter Paul Martin and antiques experts Mark Stacey and James Lewis.

Everyone who went along to the day received a free valuation – even if those items that they were then prepared to sell were not chosen to go forward for auction and to then be featured on TV.

Ahead of the valuation day and filming, series producer Louise Hibbins had said: “Presenter Paul Martin and the entire Flog It! team are really pleased to be bringing the show to Surrey. Guildford Cathedral will provide the perfect setting for our valuation day event. It is a stunning location with a fascinating history; our experts are all looking forward to offering people the chance to have their items valued in such impressive surroundings.”

"What do you think this is worth?" asks Catherine Southon.

Items selected at the valuation day will go under the hammer at Bellmans Auctioneers and Valuers, New Pound, Wisborough Green, Billingshurst, West Sussex RH14 0AZ, on Friday, February 22.

Details of when the completed programme will be screened will appear on the BBC Flog It! website. To view click here.
