A cyclist died yesterday evening (October 24) in a collision with a white Renault Trafic van on the Farnham-bound carriageway of the A31 at Runfold. The police are appealing for witnesses.
The collision happened at around 8.55pm. The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Police enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.
A statement says: “If you witnessed the collision or were driving along the A31 between 8.30pm and 9pm and have any dashcam footage please contact us quoting PR/45230120841.”

This is the second road death in the area within a fortnight. A motorcyclist died on October 14 in Westwood Lane, Wanborough, in a collision with a Ford Mondeo.
