Cyclist in His 70s Flown to Hospital Following Collision

A cyclist with serious injuries was flown by air ambulance to hospital following a collision in Little Bookham yesterday afternoon (May 14). No other vehicle was involved.

The cyclist is a man in his 70s. His next of kin have been informed. Surrey police are appealing for witnesses.

Police officers were called to The Approach off Little Bookham Street following the accident at 3.45pm. The collision occurred at the point in which the road goes over the railway bridge.

A police spokesperson said: “We are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this, or anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident. We are particularly keen to trace the movements of the pedal cycle, a brown racing bike, prior to the incident.
