Cyclist Dies in Peaslake

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses following the discovery of a cyclist found unresponsive in the road.

Officers were called to Lawbrook Lane in Peaslake at 8.34am this morning (May 17) by South East Coast Ambulance Service.

The causes of the incident are being investigated to see if it was purely a medical episode or whether there was a collision.

No other vehicle is believed to have been involved. Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances.

The cyclist, a man in his 50s, died at the scene. His next of kin have been made aware and are being supported.

A police spokesperson said: “Were you in the area around Lawbrook Lane between around 8.15am and 8.35am this morning? Do you have any CCTV, dash cam or helmet cam footage that might have captured all or part of this incident?
