Cyclist in Hospital After ‘Fail-to-stop’ Collision

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a “fail-to-stop” collision between the driver of a car and a cyclist in Godalming on Thursday (October 19).

The collision occurred at around 3pm on Portsmouth Road (A3100) at the junction with Primrose Ridge, south of Godalming town. The car is believed to be white.

The cyclist, a woman in her 60s, sustained serious injuries including broken bones and internal injuries. She currently remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Enquiries remain ongoing to trace the driver of the vehicle and establish the circumstances of the collision.

A police spokesperson said: “If you were in the area at the time and witnessed the collision, or have any dashcam or CCTV footage, please contact us quoting reference number PR/45230119147 via:
