Cyclist Injured Following Failed to Stop Collision in Pirbright

police accident sign 2A cyclist, a man in his 60s, was taken by ambulance to Frimley Park Hospital with facial injuries following a collision in Pirbright this morning (November 29).

Police were called to Gole Road at around 7am following reports of a an accident involving a white van and a cyclist.

The driver of the white van failed to stop at the scene of the collision.

Surrey Police is now appealing for witnesses

Sergeant Adam Dedman, from Surrey Roads Police Unit, said, “This incident happened at a very busy time of the morning and I am urging anybody who witnessed the collision, events prior to the collision or after the collision to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

A road closure was in place on Gole Road at the junction to Guildford/Woking Road but this has since been lifted.
