Guildford-based photographer, graphic and web designer Dan James takes stunning landscape and natural history photos and films. Here is his latest selection of images.

Dan says: “This month has been superb for both ground and aerial photography.

“For once the weather has been on our side! Even when it’s been raining, it’s been thundering and lightning which makes for some superb images (if you don’t sleep through it like me!).

“My first image is one I took of Guildford Cathedral on a clear evening. It was very windy so I didn’t chance my luck going much higher with my remote-controlled heli-drone. However, I think this angle gives a lovely perspective of how far you can see from the top!

“The four other images were taken at Henley Park Lake at Normandy (roughly 10 minutes’ drive from the centre of Guildford). It is just fantastic. You can feel like you’re a million miles away from all the hustle and bustle of busy city life. The images are taken from a short landscape video we put together of the lake.”
