Did You See Car Leave the Road Near Dunsfold?

Two people were taken to hospital on Saturday night (March 9) after a car left the road in Dunsfold and collided with a tree. Police are appealing for witnesses.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called to the A281 at the junction with Horsham Road and Dunsfold Road around 9.40pm following a single-vehicle collision. The car, a black Audi, is believed to have left the carriageway and ended up on the offside verge against a tree.”

Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries. One remains in a critical condition. The road was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.

On social media one user wrote: “Does anyone know what happened last night on the B2130 on the corner past the A281 lights? there were multiple ambulances, fire engines and helicopters circling then landing and taking off again.

“It was about 10 but they were still working till around 2 in the morning.”

The police spokesperson added: “We are appealing to anyone who saw the collision or was in the area around the time and has any other information, to come forward.
