At its branch at Slyfield, Guildford, Access Self Storage is asking for donations of Easter eggs for young patients at the Royal Surrey Hospital.

Help fill this store unit at Slyfield, Guildford, for young patients at the Royal Surrey Hospital.

It hopes the appeal will see the donated chocolate eggs filling an empty storage unit similar in size to a red phone box.

To fill the container, approximately 9ft high and 3ft wide, about 200 boxed Easter eggs are needed, with any extras welcome too.

This year, every single one of the 54 Access Self Storage stores will be collecting. It says if every store fills its 2.5m2 container, that will amount to 11,800 Easter eggs all to be distributed across good causes.

Staff have already begun collecting Easter eggs and donations can be made at the Guildford store until March 25.

The Royal Surrey Charity Community and Events fundraising manager, Sandra Lory, said: “These delicious donations will be handed out to some of our youngest patients being treated on our children’s ward and through children’s A&E and outpatients as well as to those receiving cancer treatment through our Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Service, and on our day chemotherapy ward.”

The store at Slyfield is at 9 Moorfield Road GU1 1RU.
