Dragon Editor Interviewed by BBC Surrey

Martin Giles, the editor of The Guildford Dragon NEWS was interviewed this evening by BBC Surrey’s Drive at 5 presenter Clare Cowan, for a round-up of some Guildford stories.

Martin said: “It was a pleasure to contribute to a local radio programme. They asked for some non-political stories in the pre-local election period so we spoke about the YMCA fundraising sleepover in the Castle Grounds, another High Street shop closure and I could not resist mentioning a bit of good news, ‘Yvonne the Swan‘.

The Guildford Dragon News became a partner of the BBC under the Local Democracy Reporter Scheme last year and we are really pleased with the way that has been going. Publishing a range of stories from our local democracy reporter Rebecca Curley has allowed us to increase our news coverage which all helps to keep Dragon readers informed.
