Waste remains at the Stoney Castle Dump.

By Martin Giles

The unofficial dump at Stoney Castle, Pirbright has been a problem for years and many will welcome the action by Guildford Borough Council to have it closed.

But the waste remains, as do concerns that surrounding areas and waterways have become polluted.

In the video interview below, Daniel Hill, the son of the ex-pat owner, Robin Hill who has given his son power of attorney, gives his view of the dump’s history and what should happen now.

In the interview, he makes allegations of an “attack” by security staff at the site. These allegations are still subject of a police investigation.
