Dragon Interview: Former Council Leader Joss Bigmore

A relaxed Joss Bigmore, now free of his GBC leadership responsibilities since his resignation on September 22.

Until last Thursday Joss Bigmore was the leader of Guildford Borough Council.

But there is no scandal or shock attached to his resignation, it is all part of his R4GV party’s powersharing agreement with the Lib Dem group. After two years he now hands back the leadership role to the Lib Dem leader Julia McShane until the borough council election in May.

He signed off by saying, “It’s been a blast!” – but was it really?

Martin Giles thought he would ask and also pose questions about planning, the leadership transfer and openness.
