Eagle Radio Hosts One-day Speakers’ Boot Camp

One of the UK’s busiest speakers will be sharing his secrets in a one-day boot camp hosted at the Eagle Radio studios in Guildford on Wednesday, January 23.

Popular speaker Richard McCann will be in Guildford on January 23 at an event hosted by Eagle Radio.

Richard McCann’s extraordinary story of having to overcome adversity started when at just five years old his mother became the first victim of the notorious Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe.

Focusing on the key strategies that helped him to grow beyond just surviving and create the life that he wanted, Richard has created a series of inspirational presentations drawing on his experiences.

Seven years ago Richard had an unhealthy fear of meeting people and speaking in public. He made it his mission to overcome that fear in order to share his story and message with others, and has done so with incredible success.

Jump to 2012 and Richard is one of the UK’s busiest speakers, delivering almost 1,400 audiences across the planet in the last seven years, including to audiences in Malaysia, Switzerland and South Africa, to groups ranging from school children to corporate business teams.

Having been there and done it, Richard is keen to share the personal journey of how he overcame his speaking fears with others seeking to become more engaging speakers.

The one-day course is the first in a new series of inspirational business events to be hosted by Eagle Radio. The Guildford-based radio-station is part of the UKRD `Sunday Times Best Company to Work for’ group and plans to share best–practice and un-conventional training opportunities with businesses in Surrey and Hampshire during 2013.
