The Cricketers on the Green, Pirbright

The team at The Cricketers on The Green in Pirbright wanted to do something positive to help their fantastic local community during these turbulent times.

So they have developed non-profit essential grocery boxes available at The Cricketers car park. Delivery can be organised for those who would struggle to make a pick-up.

These boxes are on a first come, first served basis and have been put together with the strictest of safety measures to ensure everyone is protected.

The boxes are designed for two or four people and include essential groceries (milk, bread, cheese, fresh fruit, veg etc). Contents will vary week by week depending on supply and demand. A box for two people costs £30 and for four people, £60.

If you fancy recreating the popular Cricketers Sunday lunch or delicious Saturday brunch at home, stay tuned for themed boxes enabling you to do just that. Grocery boxes come with recipe cards and also available are luxury treats including The Cricketers favourite house wines and chocolates.

The owners have also generously opened up their collection of quality wines and are offering them to locals to buy at cost.

Takeaway pizzas are also available for collection on Friday and Saturday nights. Made in a wood-fired Neapolitan pizza oven and made by the amazing volunteer chef team (Gio, Angel, Connor and Tony), four options are available: Margarita (£6.50), Pepperoni (£7), Italiana (£7.75) and Nduja (£7.50).
