Further EU Debate, With Local Business Focus, Announced

EU&UK FlagsGuildford residents and businesses are invited to attend a debate at G Live, chaired by Guildford’s MP Anne Milton, about the arguments for remaining and for leaving the EU.

The event, organised by the One London Square Business Forum in association with Chapters Financial, will take place on Thursday, June 16 at 8.00am-9.30am. The panel of speakers will focus, in particular, on the implications for businesses. They include:

  • Chris Parker, CEO of London & Scottish International Ltd
  • Councillor Paul Spooner, leader of Guildford Borough Council
  • Harry Aldridge, export business owner and former UKIP Parliamentary Candidate
  • Keith Churchouse

Ms Milton said: “I am very much looking forward to chairing the business EU debate kindly organised and hosted by One London Square and Chapters Financial.

“It will be an important opportunity for people to share their expertise and discuss how the vote on 23 June could affect business in our local area. It’s a great opportunity for Guildford to air its views!”

Geoffrey Sparks, Partner at Charles Russell Speechlys, a founding member of the One London Square Business Forum, commented: “The debate will be an excellent opportunity for people to be better informed ahead of the vote on June 23.
