Fairlands WI Hears About Canine Partners Assist Dogs

Canine Partners Assist Dogs was the subject of the presentation at the October meeting of Fairlands WI.

The charity trains dogs to help disabled people, give confidence to people who are unable to function successfully and is especially useful for Help for Heroes and the British Legion.

The members present at the meeting were dismayed to hear of the sudden death of member Celia Rumary. A minute’s silence was held in her memory.

Unless there are any applicants for the posts of president and secretary, Fairlands WI will cease to exist. A special meeting is to be held before the annual meeting on Wednesday, November 9. It is to be hoped that a new group could be formed in the future.
