Guildford’s markets bring in the crowds.

Guildford has been a market town for centuries and they are as popular today as they ever have been. The Dragon NEWS thought readers might like to know when they will all take place, so here is a schedule kindly prepared by the Communications Team at Guildford Borough Council.

A Year of Markets in Guildford Town Centre

Guildford has long been known as a lively and welcoming market town, where historic streets meet a modern, creative buzz.

Throughout the year, the town centre comes alive with colourful stalls, local traders and the bustle that only markets can bring! From fresh local produce to handmade crafts and seasonal treats, Guildford’s markets offer something for everyone, whether you’re a regular visitor or discovering the town for the first time.

In 2026 this tradition continues, with a packed calendar of markets right in the heart of Guildford. Regular weekly and monthly favourites sit alongside special themed and seasonal events, turning the town into a hub of activity.

Here are the market events you can look forward to this year.
