A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs and causing serious injury by dangerous driving yesterday (September 6).
Police had been called to Church Lane, between Headley Common Road and Hurst Lane, near Leatherhead, shortly before 3.30am, following a report of a collision involving a white Fiat Punto.
Five people in the car, all aged 18, suffered injuries. Four passengers, two male and two female, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Headley near Leatherhead.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have seen either vehicle travelling in the area prior to the incident.
“We are also seeking any CCTV, dashcam, helmet cam or doorbell footage that may have captured all or part of the collision.
