The Guildford Flames 2025-2026 leading point getter will return for a new season after Mathieu Gosselin agreed a new deal to remain with the club for another term.

The 5’10”, 170lb forward was selected as an Eklite Ice Hockey League All Star and topped the club in all offensive categories with 27 goals and 32 assists for 59 points over 65 games.

The 26-year-old Canadian joined the club last season for his first overseas stay after the bulk of 2024-25 at ECHL (East Coast Hockey League) Cincinnati Cyclones.

His playing resume includes a short AHL (American Hockey League) stint following five NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) seasons at Clarkson University.

“Mathieu was unquestionably one of our best players not only offensively, but all over the ice,” said coach Paul Dixon.

“He had a great season for us. He was a deserving league award winner, and we are very happy to have secured his services for the new schedule ahead.”
