Guildford Cricket Club are hosting a T20 challenge match at their Woodbridge Road ground on Sunday, September 6. Named “The Big Buzz 26”, a Bee-lieve XI take on Lashings World XI.
All proceeds will go to the Bee-lieve Foundation‘s mission to support and enhance the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people aged 4 – 24.
There is a full timetable of events with the gates opening at 10.30am:
10.30am – 1.30pm: Family Fun Zone open (stalls, games, activities, face painting, competitions and more). Children’s Kwik Cricket games, demonstration of visually impaired cricket, dance performances, fun fitness session. The Family Fun Zone is free to enter
11.30am – 2.45pm: Pre-match Lunch in the Long Room of the Pavilion featuring Lashings World XI players, Sir Gordon Greenidge and guest speaker Geoff Miller. There is one VIP table of nine available where a player/celebrity will join you.
Match tickets and six individual tickets for the lunch are also still available.
3pm – 7pm: T20 match between Bee-lieve XI (captained by Saj Mahmood) and Lashings World XI (featuring a full team of former professional cricketers including Adam Hollioake, Monty Panesar, Martin Bicknell, Saqlain Mushtaq, Nicky Boje, Chris Schofield, Owais Shah)
The match will be lived streamed and there will be commentary by the BBC’s Mark Church.
