Gifted Young Pianist In Concert At Guildford Institute

Guildford Institute’s next Young Musicians’ Recital features Emily Hooker on Thursday, October 9, at 6.30pm.

Emily is a gifted young pianist and is well known locally. It promises to be another highly enjoyable performance in the series at the institute.

Born in Surrey in 1988, Emily started to play the piano at the age of six. She has won many awards, including first prize at the prestigious Emanuel Piano Trophy competition in London in 2006. In 2007, she was also a semi-finalist on the BBC’s music competition, Classical Star.

Emily has worked with orchestras in the local area, including performances of the Schumann Piano Concerto with both the Woking Symphony Orchestra and the Guildford Symphony Orchestra.
