Multi-award-nominees Jonny & The Baptists bring their Edinburgh Fringe hit Eat The Poor to Guildford Fringe Theatre on Wednesday, March 22.

Three quarters of MPs are millionaires and a third of the country lives below the poverty line. Whatever your politics, Jonny & The Baptists think it’s worth talking about in this musical comedy for our times.

Created through extensive research travelling across the country in early 2016, the show combines contemporary satire and inventive musical silliness with an epic personal story which sets out to explore the gap between rich and poor.

A toe-tapping comedy about inequality, homelessness and revolution in modern Britain, Eat The Poor continues the company’s commitment to reach broad, diverse audiences during their biggest ever UK tour, which will take in leading theatres, arts centres, rural venues, comedy clubs and festivals across the country.

Jonny & The Baptists will perform in Guildford on March 22.

Jonny & the Baptists – real names Jonny Donahoe and Paddy Gervers – described by The Stage as “..a double act at the top of their game”, are becoming one of the UK’s hottest live musical comedy acts, enjoying regular broadcast work and major festival appearances.

Eat The Poor will play in The Back Room of the Star Inn, Quarry Street, Guildford on Wednesday, March 22, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £13 (£11 concessions) and can be purchased at www.GuildfordFringe.com or by calling 0333 666 3366.
