Guildford Lions Club has announced extra attractions for this year’s Firework Fiesta at Stoke Park on Saturday, November 2.
The Lions say: “We have improved both the catering and children’s entertainment in addition we are offering the first 250 children who come along in their Halloween costumes a ticket for a free ride on the fun fair.
Street food: Thai, Indian, Chinese, German, South African, American, British, vegan and vegetarian.
For the sweet tooth: homemade cakes, crepes, waffles, donuts, ice cream, slush, pick and mix and brownies.
To drink: three full bars, plus a gin and a Guinness bar, mulled wine, mulled cider, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
Entertainment: live music, fireworks, Charlie Maynes’ Fun Fair, face painter, children’s characters.
Shopping: Light-up novelties, small batch liqueurs, Silent Pool Gin and accessories and festival clothing.
Gates open at 5pm. Music by the Hired Guns at 6pm until 7pm and then a second set at 7.30pm until 8.30pm with the fireworks display at 8.30pm.
Book tickets via Seetickets: Adults £13.50 (including booking fee).
Children under 16 free if accompanied by an adult.
Advance sales only – no sales on the night.
Due to a Guildford Flames ice hockey match, there will be no car parking available at the Spectrum leisure centre this year.
There will be alternative parking at the following locations:
One London Square, Cross Lane, GU1 1UN. Just five minutes from the park. Access by advanced ticket only, via Seetickets, at £2 which, will be donated to the Lion’s nominated charity, see below.
Guildford College, Stoke Road, GU1 1EZ. As in previous years a great location offering free parking and just a short walk to the park.
Guildford High School, London Road, GU1 1SJ. Reserved for Blue Badge parking only
All profits will be used to support the local community and Oakleaf Enterprise that supports people with mental health issues.
The Hired Guns are a high-energy party band playing songs by the Killers, George Ezra, Kings of Leon, Taylor Swift.
The band is a supergroup of world-class session musicians who play all over the world for the likes of James Bay, Nile Rodgers, James Morrison, One Direction, Fatboy Slim, Reef, Electric Six and countless others.
