After two weeks of cancellations there was a smaller field this time at Stoke Park. Perhaps some were put off by the threat of thunderstorms! There were 166 runners, of whom 24 were first timers and 29 recorded new personal bests. Representatives of 19 different athletics clubs took part.

Men’s placings:
Nathan MARTIN (SM30-34) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was first over the line in 19:31 – fourth time in 20 appearances.
An unknown runner was second.
Rob BATE (VM45-49) (unattached) was third over the line in 20:14.

Current standing in the men’s annual points competition:
David ANDREWS (unattached) 878 pts.
Trevor WOOD (unattached) 809 pts.
Glenn MORRIS (Dorking & Mole Valley AC) 696 pts.

Women’s placings:
Sophie QUIRK (JW11-14) (unattached) was first (11th overall) over the line in 21:43 – second time in four appearances.
Michelle OLDHAM (VW40-44) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was second (12th overall) over the line in 21:54 – has been first to finish on five previous occasions.
Martha COLLINGS (JW11-14) of Woking AC, was third (15th overall) over the line in 22:05.

Martha COLLINGS (JW11-14) was graded 75.32% for the time 22:05 (15th overall).
Sophie QUIRK (JW11-14) was graded 74.98% for the time 21:43 (11th overall).
Susanna HARRISON (VW50-54) was graded 72.87% for the time 23:17 (31st overall).

The men’s record is held by Tom ALDRED who ran in a time of 00:15:30 on April 7, 2102 (event number 5).
The Age Grade course record is held by Jane DAVIES who recorded a 90.41% run (22:25) on April 27, 2013 (event number 57).
