Guildford RSPB Announces Stunning Winners In 2022 Photo Competition

RSPB Guildford and District Local Group members had difficulty in picking a winner from all the stunning bird, wildlife and landscape photos in their annual photographic competition at their annual in Onslow Village Hall on May 25.

Overall winner for The Koniotes Award, Angus Lamont’s photo of a great spotted woodpecker. Click on the images to enlarge in a new window.

But decide they did with a unique image of a great spotted woodpecker by Angus Lamont scooping The Koniotes Award for the best overall photograph. You can see a list of the winners and all of other winning photographs below.

The event this year generated a significantly higher number of entries than previously and, once again, the standard was very high making it difficult for members to choose just one photograph per category.

RSPB Guildford group leader Margo Scott said: “I was delighted with the high standard of the entries and the variety of subjects that showcase our natural world. My congratulations to the worthy winners and runners-up whose photos can be seen on our website and Facebook page.”
