A320 Weekend Closures

As part of the ongoing major improvement works on the A320 between Ottershaw and Chertsey, we will be closing the A320 Guildford Road in both directions for two weekends in June.

Closure details:

• Weekend 1: From 8pm on Friday 6 June to 5am on Monday 9 June
• Weekend 2: From 5am on Saturday 14 June to 5am on Monday 16 June

These essential works are designed to enhance traffic flow, improve junction efficiency, and create additional road capacity on this busy route. The improvements will also benefit pedestrians and cyclists, and make access to public transport easier.

Diversion Route

During the closures, northbound traffic will be diverted via Murray Road, Spinney Hill, and through Addlestone along Church Road and Station Road. Drivers will then turn left onto the A317 Woburn Hill before rejoining St Peter’s Way towards St Peter’s Hospital. Southbound traffic should follow the same route in reverse.

Travel Advice

We expect the roads around the A320 and the diversion route to be busier than usual during these weekends. Please:

• Use traffic apps to check your route before setting off
• Allow extra travel time, particularly if heading to St Peter’s Hospital
• Be aware that access to the ambulance station will be maintained at all times
