Exciting Progress on the Guildford to Godalming Greenway
Work is now underway on the Guildford to Godalming Greenway (GGG) – a transformative scheme designed to improve active travel infrastructure between Guildford, Godalming, and the communities in between.
Spanning over 7km, the Greenway aims to make walking, wheeling, and cycling safer, more accessible, and more enjoyable.

Phase 1 Construction Begins
In 2023, a successful funding application was submitted to Active Travel England to deliver Phase 1 of the scheme. This phase will provide immediate benefits as a standalone project, while also forming part of the wider Greenway network to be delivered in future phases, subject to further funding. Construction of Phase 1 began on 13 January 2025, focusing first on the A3100 between B3000 New Pond Road and Broadwater Lake.
