Icons on Ammunition Boxes on display at Guildford Cathedral

Guildford Cathedral has a fascinating and unusual exhibition currently on display – Icons on Ammunition Boxes.

This is a conceptual project by Ukrainian artists Sofia Atlantova and Oleksandr Klymenko launched in 2014.

The icons are painted on fragments from ammunition boxes from the war zones in Ukraine and serve as silent war witnesses as well as symbols of the victory of life over death.

The exhibition is only on show for a short while until April 1, so drop by and see it soon!
