Surrey Police BadgePolice officers are appealing for witnesses following an indecent exposure in Stoke Park in Guildford on Sunday afternoon (May 19).

A woman had taken her nine-year-old daughter and her nine-year-old friend over to the park around 3-30pm when she noticed the man standing behind a tree and exposing himself.

He is described as white, aged 18-19 years old, 5ft 8- 5 ft 9 tall, of average build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a plain red round neck t-shirt and distinctive turquoise and white Bermuda knee-length shorts.

Detective Constable Andy Jenkins, who is investigating the incident, said: “The woman had gone to the park for a walk with her daughter and her friend when they were subjected to the sight of this man exposing himself. I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed this man or saw anything suspicious to come forward straightaway.

“I would also like to reassure local residents that we are treating this incident extremely seriously but also to remind people that incidents of this nature in the Guildford area are rare.”

If you can help, please contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting crime reference number GD/13/4159 or, if you prefer not to leave your name, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
