From Shirley West, chairman of the Guildford and Godalming Branch of the British Heart Foundation
A big thank you to both the Spirit health club at the Holiday Inn in Guildford and Guildford Spectrum for a great day on Friday, February 6, showing their support for the British Heart Foundation’s Wear it Beat It day.
Everyone was in such good spirits knowing that they were raising funds for the BHF, and also lots of fun was going on and had by all.
My fellow branch members and I thank you so much.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: Spectrum members and staff raised £300 for the British Heart Foundation in which people were asked to wear something red for their workout.
Freedom Leisure, that runs Spectrum leisure centre on behalf of Guildford Borough Council, is boosting funds to the British Heart Foundation across the group by pledging £10 for every new membership taken out during February to the charity.
