It is good to see that there are Conservative councillors, like Cllr Bob McShee [Worplesdon], who are prepared to put their head above the parapet and challenge the leadership view.

It is unfortunate, if predictable, that this has resulted in his dismissal from the Local Committee and that he feels the need to apologise.

Further evidence, if any were needed, of the undemocratic nature of how the Conservatives proceed.
