From Angela Goodwin
Angela Goodwin is a Lib Dem borough councillor for Friary & St Nicolas (this was previously incorrectly given as Angela Gunning, Labour councillor for Stoke, we apologise for our error).
The Mayor’s Award for Access recognises those that make a positive contribution to the lives of disabled people who live and work in the borough.
The Guildford Access Group is in search of this year’s winners, and they need your help. They are looking for the people and places that make a real difference to the lives of disabled people.
The Mayor of Guildford, Cllr Nigel Manning said: “The awards recognise the real difference local groups can make to the lives of disabled people. Please help by letting us know the people, places or projects that have gone the extra mile to enable access for all.”
This year the categories are:
• Services to the Community
• Access Through the Arts
• Access Through Sports
• Customer Services Awards
• Accessible Premises for Public Use.
For more information and to make your nominations, please complete the online application form which can be found:
The closing date for nominations to be received is Friday, June 2 2017.
