Sisters Alexandra 14 and Julia 11 moved neighbours with their playing of, “Somewhere over the rainbow”.
Last Thursday, as all the residents in our small close of 15 houses in Merrow stood on their doorsteps with pans, bells and hands to show our appreciation for the NHS (and all other essential workers), we suddenly heard the wonderful and moving sound of a rendition of “somewhere over the rainbow” played by sisters Alexandra 14 and Julia 11 on a cello and flute.
They had learnt the piece especially for the occasion, which made it all the more moving.

NHS Thank You in Stoke Park
I thought other readers might like to see this image I took on Thursday (April 9), with a drone, of a support message in Stoke Park.
I don’t know who created the message. I assume it was the groundskeepers from Guildford Borough Council as it looks like the paint they use to mark to football pitches with.
I think they have done a great job. Photos at ground level don’t do it justice and you don’t really see it from the road unless you glance across.

And then there were seven. (See article: "Lib Dems Remain Puzzled By Leader’s Decision to Sack Executive Member")
