Sadly, in their decisions on the MP standards policing process and in respect of the vote on the water companies continuing to dump untreated sewage in the sea and rivers, MPs have been shown to be completely out of touch with the electorate.

Isn’t it time that they ceased always to follow, sheep-like, the party political line or whip and used their common sense?

On both issues, this government and the Conservative party have suffered irreparable damage.
