Our bin men are helping in many ways. Collecting garden waste removes the “need” for bonfires and bonfires are the last thing people want next to their gardens, or near their windows, at this time.

Less air pollution helps everyone. You do have to pay for garden waste collection but those of us who are fortunate to have gardens, especially large ones, should not begrudge that, in my opinion.

Continuing to collect general refuse will also help to prevent an increase in flytipping.
