In response to: Guildford Quiet As Lockdown 3 Hits
The quietness of Guildford town centre contrasts with the Surrey Hills, especially the areas around Shere, which are busier than I’ve ever seen it.
I would ask any Dragon readers, travelling from Guildford to exercise in this area, to please consider the local residents. Do not form walking groups, do not linger on the footpaths and do not crowd the car parks.
This weekend, as per the first lockdown, by far the worst offending groups are the older walkers who are in the higher risk groups. Many meeting and walking in groups.
It is frustrating for those of us who have had to close businesses to see such a flagrant disregard from the very people we are meant to be protecting. It’s a real kick in the teeth, especially when it’s on our very doorstep.

I saw the same at Pirbright today absolutely ridiculous drinking coffee eating cakes purchased from the car park waffle van. Newlands Corner is a joke and so is the Silent Pool. If you drive past you can see people unmasked and not observing no social distancing.
