A proposed new layout for the A3/M25 Junction 10

From Bob McShee

Conservative borough councillor for Worplesdon

I attended a councillor briefing by Highways England last week about the A3/M25 Junction 10, which handles approx 100,000 vehicles per day. There are 28 casualties per annum at this location, which is double the average for M25 junctions.

Details were given of the proposed changes and these can be viewed on request at the reception in the Guildlford Borough Council offices at Millmead from February 12 until March 26. Questionnaires will be available for completion.

Information is also available online at WWW.highways.gov.uk/m25j10 and comments can be made in writing to FREEPOST, M25 Junction 10/A3 Wisley Interchange or emailed to info@highwaysengland.co.uk

A decision will be made in 2019/2020 with the works planted to start in September 2020 with a two-year contract period.

I do hope the public will take advantage of this viewing which if it goes ahead will no doubt help the traffic problem at junction ten, especially if the Wisley development takes place.
