Letter: ‘Strangely Moving’ To Have My Covid Jab

Vaccination (library image).

From: Alastair Watson

I received my vaccination at 6pm at Cranleigh Village Hall (Sunday, January 24). I found it strangely moving.

Like being in a 2nd World War movie. No posters “Keep calm…, Britain can take it..” but it needed Glen Miller playing in the background!! Efficient without being “slick”.

Community pulling together, volunteers giving up their time and the medical professionals working flat out for us all. Magnificent!!

Well done and let’s give some credit rather than continuous carping to the government, the medics and the volunteers.

I fail to see any correlation between NHS staff/volunteers and the government. The former have been magnificent throughout the pandemic. The latter has let them, and all of us, down.
