In response to: This Local Plan Will Not Deliver

The housing market dictates what prices are going to be, not planning committees. Developers decide what to build, not planning committees.

Our council has no power to force developers to build on their allocated sites, has little power over what they build and no power over when or how many that build up to their allocation.

The Local Plan is useless in its current state, as in fact are most Local Plans across the country.

With the housing market falling, what chances are there of any affordable homes being built anywhere? Developers will sit on their land allocations until profitability returns in earnest.
