Perhaps if there was more openness at Guildford Borough Council and less secrecy on future plans it would solve some of the current problems? There is too much fait accompli and not enough “what would you like?”
Why create more problems when the current ones haven’t been solved? In short, there should be more listen and less tell.
One critical problem to be addressed, if we are to build anywhere near the amount of new homes talked about, is our inadequate infrastructure including roads, water supply and power supply.
The elected councillors and the council officers must remember they work for us; we are their bosses, not the other way round.
If we say “jump” they should ask “how high”.
