In response to: Wisley Airfield is A Perfect Site for Development

William Cole’s letter is a total distortion of the facts surrounding Three Farms Meadows. The runway occupies a small proportion of the site. Most of the remainder is highly fertile farmland, producing five million loaves of bread per year.

The proximity to the M25 and A3 is scarcely an ideal situation, given the development would cause even worse congestion, and the already illegally high pollution levels would soar.

As to being welcomed by all in the borough, Mr Cole will find that almost no residents want this blight on the borough, once the ‘consultations’ with Taylor Wimpey commence.

One could be forgiven for thinking that perhaps Mr Cole has “skin in the game”.
