From: Alice Fowler
local author and Dragon reviewer
Following the launch of her book The Truth Has Arms and Legs at Waterstones on Thursday, September 14.
Wow, what an evening! To everyone who came to the Waterstones Launch on Thursday evening, the biggest possible thanks.
I hugely appreciated your support – thank you very much indeed for making it such a special and memorable night.
It’s a dream come true for any writer to see their books piled up on a Waterstones table – I’m sure I’ll be admiring the picture above for quite some time…
As I said last night, writing can seem a solitary activity, but it just can’t happen without the many conversations, friendships (and in my case, games of tennis and dog walks) that feed into it. Thank you again for your wonderful support.
I was delighted to hear that books I signed would be travelling as far as Brisbane and Toronto.
To anyone who has read the stories, please do spread the word. I’m also very happy to join in if a book group is discussing The Truth Has Arms and Legs, or to speak to schools – please let me know if you’d like me to come along.
If you feel inspired, please do leave a review online. Just a line or two is needed and can really makes a difference in encouraging people to buy the book.
You can do that at Waterstones, Amazon or Goodreads – all or any would be fantastic.
Thank you again to those who have supported my publication journey. Most importantly, I hope you enjoy the stories!
