The club adds the atmosphere in the park was wonderful, the feedback received has been extremely positive, and the evening was a true community event.

Lions club member Eric James said: “I’m delighted to let you know that together we achieved a net profit of £36,200. This is an incredible result, and it will go directly toward supporting those in need in our community.

“This year, our chosen charity was the Fountain Centre, and I’m pleased to confirm that our club has already agreed to donate them £10,000.

“This will allow them to fund 400 one-on-one exercise classes for cancer patients – helping them in their recovery in a practical and meaningful way.

“None of this would have been possible without your [the public’s] support. Thank you for being part of something that makes such a real difference.”
