Man Arrested On Suspicion of Sexual Assault on University Campus

A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident at the University of Surrey, Guildford.

Officers are investigating the allegation that a female student was assaulted in the area of the university and on Thursday morning (Feb 9) arrested a man in connection with the incident. He has been released on bail until March 10 pending further enquiries.

The victim is being supported by specially trained officers and there are a number of officers around the campus this morning carrying out enquiries and providing reassurance to students.
