Man Charged with Arson with Intent to Endanger Life

A man has been charged in connection to an arson at the Stanwell Hotel in Staines.

Officers were called to reports of a fire yesterday (Saturday, August 29) at around 9.40am and attended the scene alongside fellow emergency services.

Jake Holder, 28 of Ashford, a white British national, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life. He has been remanded in custody and will next appear at Guildford Crown Court on Tuesday, September 1.

Surrey Police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection to this incident.
