Man From Ash Arrested After Reports of Assault and Racial Abuse

A man from Ash has been arrested in connection with an incident in Municipal Gardens, Aldershot.

Police were called at 7.24pm on Tuesday, June 16th, with reports that a man was causing damage, assaulting people and being racially abusive to members of the public.

A 58-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, affray, criminal damage, and racially aggravated public order offences. He was taken into custody.

A police statement said: “We ask anyone with relevant information, including any footage of the incident, to contact us on 101, quoting 44260285455.”
