Man Suspected of Stalking and GBH Arrested Following Weyside Incident

A 39-year-old man from Guildford was arrested on suspicion of stalking and attempted GBH following an incident in which a silver BMW appears to have been driven at two pedestrians outside the Weyside pub on the A281 Shalford Road in Guildford.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, 20 July at around 10pm and investigating officers from Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses. The man arrested was subsequently released on conditional bail.

Detective Constable Kristian Baker said: “We have made an arrest but are keen to talk to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area during that evening to help us understand exactly what took place.”
