Guildford artist Becca Clegg will be opening her studio, and discussing her processes and the inspiration behind her art, at the Mayford Centre Open Day on Saturday 23 November.
Set in a historic part of Woking, the Mayford Centre is home to a range of creative, independent businesses. From 10-4pm, the Centre will offer visitors the chance to explore the different activities that take place in the characterful former Victorian school.
As well as giving the opportunity to buy exquisite hand-made crafts, the open day will include live demonstrations and participation in a range of creative activities.
Becca, who will be selling paintings, prints, cushions, mats, Christmas decorations and cards, says: “I have had my gorgeous studio at the Mayford Centre for over a year. When I tell people I’m at the Mayford Centre, no one knows where it is! We hope that the open day will give people the opportunity to enjoy learning about our local businesses.”
Other crafts featured at the free event include handmade silver jewellery from Workshop 925; the Chocolate School showing how chocolate is made from cocoa beans and offering tastings; craft kits from Strawberry Patch Crafters; and handmade Christmas wreaths from Lily and Myrtle.
Refreshments will be provided and the day runs from 10am-4pm with free admission and free parking at the Mayford Centre, Smarts Heath Road, Mayford Green, Woking, Surrey, GU22 0PP. See www.mayfordcentre.uk
