Guildford’s Mayor Richard Billington

Friday 6 September

09:30 The Mayor, Councillor Richard Billington, accompanied by the Mayoress, Mrs Lynda Billington, joins Oberbϋrgermeister (Lord Mayor) of Freiburg, Mr Martin Horn and a delegation from Freiburg City Council at Guildford Harbour Hotel before travelling to the University of Surrey for a short tour of the campus.

11:15 The Mayor, Mayoress and delegation attend a presentation by Simone Pflaum, Head of Sustainability Management, City of Freiburg entitled “Localising the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals in the City of Freiburg, at the 5GIC (James Clerk Maxwell Building).

14:30 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress and the Freiburg delegation, attends the presentation of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service by the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, Mr Michael More-Molyneux, to the Friday Swimmers at Guildford Spectrum, Parkway, Guildford.

Saturday 7 September

11:30 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, attends the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home ‘Big Day Out’ at Stoke Park, Guildford.

Tuesday 10 September

18:30 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, attends the New Beginnings Women’s Support Centre Art Awards 2019 at The Lightbox, Woking.

Friday 13 September

12:00 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, attends the Southern Pro Musica ‘Music for Guildford’ Season Launch at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford.

19:30 The Mayor and Mayoress attend the Guildford Air Cadets 261 Squadron ATC Annual Formal Inspection at Stocton Close, Guildford.

Saturday 14 September

10:00 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, attends the ‘For the Love of Animals’ Holistic Animal Fair & Fun Dog Show event at the Harry Edward’s Healing Sanctuary, Burrows Lea, Shere.

12:30 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress attends the official opening of the Guildford Malayalee Association Onam Festival Celebrations at the Fairlands Community Hall, Chester Close, Guildford.

Sunday 15 September

08:30 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, officially starts the Guildford Lions Hatchlands Park Run at Hatchlands Local Historic Park & Gardens, East Clandon.

12:30 The Mayor and Mayoress attends the Masonic Province of Surrey’s Luncheon at the Masonic Centre, Hitherbury Close, Guildford; followed by a Thanksgiving Service at Guildford Cathedral.

Monday 16 September

18:30 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, attends the Experience Guildford Customer Service Awards at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford.

Tuesday 17 September

18:10 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, attends the Guildford in Bloom Awards Ceremony at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford.

Thursday 19 September

19:15 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, attends Guildford’s Heritage Open Days Talk, hosted by The Guildford Society and West Surrey Area Arts Society, at The Guestan Hall, Abbot’s Hospital, High Street, Guildford.

Friday 20 September

19:15 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, attends the Guildford Opera Company’s Autumn Gala Concert at Holy Trinity Church, Guildford.

Saturday 21 September

09:30 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, attends the National Careline Retirement Roadshow at Holy Trinity Church, Guildford.

15:00 The Mayor, accompanied by the Mayoress, joins the Mayors and Chairmen of the Surrey Districts for a Civic Services at St Nicolas’ Church, Cranleigh; by invitation of the Mayor of Waverley, Councillor Mary Foryszewski.
