More Than One Baby Jesus Needed For Wintershall Nativity

Wintershall Players’ Christmas Nativity play.

The Wintershall Players, who run simply the best Christmas Nativity play ever in a barn on a hilltop outside Bramley, are scouting for babies to play the infant Jesus.

They have already successfully auditioned one local baby but because of strict performance laws for minors, or in this case minimis, they need at least two more to play the onerous part of being cuddled by the Virgin Mary.

If you know of any babies around three to six months old who show latent acting talent and fancy a career on the stage, do get in touch with Wintershall Nativity creator Peter Hutley via Susan Babbington at susan@hutleygroup.com or ring 01483 892167.

TheWintershall Nativity has been running for 22 years and is fantastic for getting families into the Christmas spirit.

The action, with cast of 70, plus real baby, horses, donkeys, sheep, angels, beacons and bonfire, takes place in and around Holly Barn, Wintershall, Bramley GU5 0LR.

Performances are on Wednesday, December 19, Thursday 20, and Friday 21, at 4.45pm and 7.30pm, and on Friday, December 22 and Sunday 23, at 2.30pm and 5.30pm.

Book online at www.wintershall-estate.com or call 01483 892167.

Wow! Things have changed since my daughter, who is now six, played Jesus at the nativity when she was only about 10 weeks old! I have absolutely amazing memories of the event and would urge folk to give it a go.
